Shopping according to Wikipedia is an activity in which a customer browses the available goods or services presented by one or more retailers with the potential intent to purchase a suitable selection of items.
What has shopping got to do with the man- woman romantic relationship, you may ask? I will reply to you by saying, Everything! They have everything in common. Shopping is only possible when two categories of people come together to do business: the sellers and the buyers.
The buyers (shoppers) are interested in a particular product and have the ability to purchase it. The sellers (marketers) on the other hand have products or services they want people to look favorably on and purchase.
As regards relationships, a buyer can be likened to a mature person who seeks an eligible partner for the purpose of having a meaningful relationship.
The seller in this instance can be likened to another person who believes he or she has what it takes to make a good partner or spouse and is projecting self to be noticed by a relevant person. It is noteworthy to understand that all shoppers are not the same.
Purchasing a product is the main similarity among shoppers, but what they desire to purchase, how much they are willing to spend on shopping and how they go about the shopping varies.
