From Wanting To Owning

Waiting no longer catches the fancy of this present generation. People want things at the speed of their thoughts; immediately, without delay, instantaneous.

Description

Waiting no longer catches the fancy of this present generation. People want things at the speed of their thoughts; immediately, without delay, instantaneous. Many Christians cast away their confidence in God when what they are trusting Him for does not come as fast as they want it to. They opine that God has probably forgotten them or is not interested in that area of their life. But God does not forget, He is also very interested in every area of our lives. The bible says;

‘I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew’. Romans 11:1‑2 KJV

‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end’. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

Although you feel caught and lonely in the web of unanswered prayers. You are not alone. Elijah said;

‘Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal’. Romans 11:3‑4 KJV

God, they murdered your prophets, they trashed your altars, I’m the only one left and now they are after me! And do you remember God’s answer? I still have seven thousand who have not quit, seven thousand who are loyal to the finish. It’s the same today. There’s a fiercely loyal minority still—not many, perhaps, but probably more than you think. Romans 11:3‑4MSG

The Bible makes us understand that believers are not shielded from facing challenges. The righteous also encounter occasional wilderness seasons in life just as sinners do.

‘These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world’. John 16:33 KJV

‘I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world’. John 16:32‑33 MSG
